Welcome aboard
EPM Commander installs as an Excel add-in and connects directly to Oracle EPM Cloud through the official REST APIs. Five minutes from installer to first insight:
- Install the add-in — run the installer as administrator and restart Excel. The EPM Commander tab appears in the ribbon.
- Sign in to Captain EPM — activates your license and unlocks the ribbon.
- Connect to EPM Cloud — pick a saved environment (PROD, TEST, …) or create one. OAuth, SSO/MFA, and identity-domain sign-in are supported.
- Sync Metadata — pulls dimensions, cubes, and members so every tool works against fresh metadata. The ribbon adapts to your application type: Planning environments get Planning Controls, FCCS environments get FCC Controls.
- (Optional) Add an LLM API key — unlocks the AI Assistant and every AI-powered analyzer. All native tools work without it.
