Install Steps

  1. Download the latest installer from the sidebar or from your Captain EPM account.
  2. Right-click the CaptainEPM.exe file and choose Run as administrator. The installer registers the add-in for all users on the machine.
  3. Accept the Terms and Conditions.
  4. Restart Excel. The EPM Commander tab appears in the ribbon.

Updates are delivered through the built-in updater — you'll be notified in the ribbon when a new version is available.

Troubleshooting

  • Tab missing after install: File → Options → Add-ins → Manage COM Add-ins → ensure Captain EPM is checked. If Excel disabled it after a crash, re-enable it under Disabled Items.
  • Blank panels or windows: install the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Evergreen Runtime.
  • Corporate proxy: EPM Commander uses the system proxy. Whitelist your *.oraclecloud.com domain and, if using AI, your LLM provider's API endpoint.
